We, Canal Electronic Co., Ltd, state important information about safety approval change for socket as below: ENEC is a universally accepted safety approval for electric products in Europe, which is issued by the third-party safety agency testing the products according to the EU safety standards. In addition to the product testing, programs of ENEC include the annual production site audit, follow-up process & product validation, sampling survey in the market and so on.
Therefore, ENEC’s comprehensive and integrated approval system is now widely accepted by the industries, and becomes to replace the individual safety certificate in Europe’s each country.
Following the above trend towards an integrated certification, although our KS, KR series sockets have already gained the different safety certifications in European Countries which includes VDE, SEMKO, DEMKO, NEMKO, FIMKO, in the future we will keep VDE only, which is also widely recognized by numbers of clients, the others will be replaced by ENEC. Therefore, it is our plan that starting 2011 we will maintain only VDE and ENEC certification for our KS, KR series sockets in Europe, and will not keep SEMKO, DEMKO, NEMKO, and FIMKO certification.
For those safeties other than the EU area, like UL, CUL or CCC, we still will keep the Certifications.
